Welcome to the Metro Tango Alumni web site. I created this site back in 2000 after thinking about the people I knew while stationed at Metro Tango. Where did they go? Where are they now? What are they doing? Some of the finest people I've ever met were stationed at MT, and the purpose of this site is to bring them back together again. Some have left the service and gone off to other parts of the world.Some have even stayed in Europe -- a few even Near MT. Metro Tango brought us all together to serve one cause: gather intelligence to protect our nation during the Cold War. The Cold War is over; and some of our enemies are now our allies. Some of our former friends are now our enemies. The world if a different place today, and we've changes as well. But remember this: we were at MT when it mattered - and it mattered that we were there.
The old Metro Tango site is still there - but not as we remember it. In the middle of the forest, just off highway B 327, fourteen kilometers north of the former Hahn Air Base, there is a but a skeleton of a once bustling location. Its soul, though departed, has in no way disappeared. It lives on in all of us, wherever we may find ourselves.
I thought I'd post some Communist propaganda pictures from the past, just to remind us all what we were up against. Czech linguists will really appreciate them. Click on the picture below to see more Enjoy!
